Just like every year, this Spring/Summer fashion season has yet again given us #baggoals for the whole year. While some of the trends are revamped versions of last year’s introductions, there are also quite a few new and unique ones this season.
Whether we like it or not, these trends are here to stay and we’ll be seeing more and more of these throughout the year.
So here are the top 6 Spring/Summer 2019 bag trends to look up to.
The bucket bag trend has been going on for a while now and everyone has been loving it. And that’s probably why this season there are fresh and more fun improvisations on the trend.
Valentino showed us how a small sized bucket bag can be styled on the runway.
Hermes showed us how to rock a larger sized statement bag.
For print lovers, Tod's gave us a beautiful camo printed bucket bag.
The crochet bag is yet another existing bag trend that seems to be in for the long haul. But we have no complaints because there is nothing more elegant than crochet to go with boho chic looks. This season though, the high fashion brands have decided to play more with colors.
While Loewe showed off a super colorful crossbody crochet bag,
Chanel kept it to just two colors and stripes.
Altuzzara, on the other hand, went for neutrals.
The fanny pack literally broke the internet when it was introduced into the fashion world. The likes of Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were seen wearing them all the time. This year, brands have taken it up a notch by experimenting with unique shapes and silhouettes. Colors seem to be on the bright side.
Burberry as always went for their classic shape, but with a chain strap.
Off-White showed off a striking silver one.
Fendi went for a super unique asymmetrical style.
A refreshing new trend this season is the bag with gorgeous embellished straps. And every high fashion brand seems to be loving it. We couldn’t ask for more because we are talking extravagant embroideries, elegant stonework, unique trims and logo details. I mean what’s not to love.
Brands like Fendi and Stella McCartney have started off the trend with their logo
while Dior decided to go with a contrasting strap for a neutral bag.
The focus seems to be more on the straps this season because bags with looped straps are also trending. Colorful and cute looking silhouettes are being matched with looped straps for a playful look.
Giorgio Armani created a glittering pink square shaped bag.
Louis Vuitton went for a boxy bag.
Marc Jacobs went for a circular-shaped bag.
Sometimes we go all out with minimalism, while other times we are all about the extravaganza. So this season we even have a bulky trend with carrying multiple bags.
While Chanel created a cross body bag with multiple straps and layers on both sides in red,
Givenchy went for clutch bag in grey,
Loewe showed us 2 beautiful neutral bags.
So which ones are your favorites?
