Today we will be taking notes from many top Asian celebrities who wore the same look, and how they have owned it with their unique styling.
Check out last month Who Wore it Better?
We all have to agree that high waisted pants work best with tucked in shirts because of the classic and chic vibe the look provides. Taiwanese actress Rainie Yang and Korean celebrity Lee Sung-kyung both wore Givenchy high-waisted trousers, with Givenchy oversized cotton-canvas shirt tucked in. The look has a light military vibe injected in the dark romantic sensuality the brand presents. Rainie Yang styled her look with heeled sandals and a minty green shoulder bag. Her look is more conservative compared to Lee Sung-kyung. Lee Sung-kyung's look with rolled-up sleeve and the unbuttoned top has more of casual and boyish charm. Both looks are great for different occasions, whose look do you prefer?
Stella McCartney’s ruffled floral mini dress wafting beautifully while moved around and it is perfect for a warm spring day. Both Chinese celebrities Jenny Zhang and Lareina Song were spotted wearing this incredibly gorgeous outfit. While Jenny Zhang embraced the romantic and fairy-like vibe of this dress with her accessory and refreshing hairstyle, Lareina Song’s raised neckline and casual hairstyle made her look a bit dull.
Celebrities love shirt dresses. It is an amazing investment simply because you can get so many looks out of one basic staple. Hong Kong actress and model Karena Ng and Chinese actress Lareina Song both favored Miu Miu’s rose detail shirt when attending events. The classic silhouette with an eclectic twist gave this elegant fashion pieces a bit of an edgy vibe. Lareina Song styled it with a tailored black blazer and black pointy pumps. Her look is sweet and cool with a clear focus on the statement piece. Karena Ng’s look, on the other hand, has too much going on and the shirt is overwhelmed by the accessories. Point goes to Lareina Song.
What happens when red meets volume? Korean star Suli and Chinese actress Charmaine Sheh both captured wearing Valentino’s Micro Faille Dress when attending Valentino’s events. The cape-like silhouette and the oversized bow detail screams drama and attention. This is definitely a statement piece that will make you the center of the crowd effortlessly. Suli paired it elegant red pumps with pearl embellishment which visually extended the color and complimented the dress at the same time. This score goes to Sulli.
60s fashion deserves all the love from fashion lovers, not only for the varieties of fashion trends that are still being referenced and applied today but also because it was the age of fashion innovation for women. Salute to Nancy Sinatra’s hot single These Boots Were Made For Walking and her iconic mini dress and knee-high boots look, Korean actress Lee Sung-kyung rocked Saint Laurent’s sixties mini dress and boots ensemble. Chinese actress Lareina Song also did a great job on styling this timeless piece, but I have to give this round to Lee Sung-kyung.
In case you have not realized yet, animal print is still one of the hottest trends this year. It has infiltrated your Instagram feed and every fashion e-commerce site. Don’t be frustrated if you have missed this trend last fall, it is a great time to invest in some spring and summer pieces. Korean actress and singer Sulli and Korean actress Chae Shi-ra were both caught wearing Burberry’s dalmatian print blouse and matching skirt. Regardless of their age and their style difference, they all look extremely elegant and classy in this outfit. If I have to name a winner, Chae Shi-ra won this round only because I favored her ankle strap heels over Sulli’s stiletto heels for this look.
